Author, technology journalist and lifelong gamer. A regular expert on the sofa at ITV’s Daybreak and various other TV and radio stations, she writes columns for National Geographic Traveller magazine and Web User magazine.
Kate launched her first novel, Mostly Harmless, at the first FantastiCon back in 2014. In 2016 she successfully saw the success of the crowdfunding campaign to create the audio version of her YA fantasy realised live on stage.
2017 saw her reading from both a Bookkeeper's Guide to Practical Sorcery and the infamous section from Chapter 10 of Elite: Mostly Harmless.Who knows what she has planned for 2018? We do... but that would be telling...All we can tell you is there will be Hammers of Slough in attendance. They came last year and this year they will return, and much like sand people in greater numbers!
After 2017's excellent performance, Jollyboat will be joining us again in 2018! Prepare to be wowed with their original brand of musical pirate comedy.
Simon Fisher-Becker joins us again this year and will be available for autographs, selfies and is always happy to chat about his incredible career.
Simon has been in countless film and TV projects including Dr Who (Dorium maldovar), Harry Potter (The Fat Friar), Puppy Love (Tony Fazackerley), played the Fat Controller from Thomas the Tank Engine and was even a Town Crier!
A multi-talented motivational speaker, he spends his time travelling the world and we're very lucky that he's found space in his busy schedule to come and join us for some FantastiCon fun!

Colin Spaull has been a stalwart of stage and screen for decades.
His performances in 'Morse', 'The Last Detective', 'The Inbetweeners', 'Doctors', 'Holby City', 'Eastenders', 'Casualty' and 'The Brittas Empire' were legendary and he's one of only a select few actors who can boast of appearing in both classic and new episodes of Doctor Who.
We're very pleased to announce that Colin will be joining out ranks as a Fantastic author in 2019 when we publish his autobiography.
Colin will be available for autographs, selfies and is always happy to chat with his fans.

Drew Wagar, author of FBP bestseller Elite: Reclamation released the first in his hard science fiction series, the Shadeward Saga - Shadeward: Emanation at FantastiCon 2015. FantastiCon 2016 saw the successful launch of part two Shadeward: Exoneration.
In 2017 he gave an exclusive first reading of his highly commended Elite Dangerous: Premonition, a book whose narrative was helped over the finish line by thousands of players of Elite: Dangerous, live in game!
He also gave a reading from his next project, his Lords of Midnight novel, live at the event!
FantastiCon 2018 will see more excellent content from Drew Wagar, including the first opportunity to grab a signed copy of his Lords of Midnight novelisation which launches in June 2018 as an eBook launches and as a paperback live at the event.
Epic fantasy author behind the A Seared Sky trilogy, which was released at FantastiCon 2014 and 2015. Stuart also launched the beautiful hardback version of his short, dystopian science fiction thriller The Methuselah Strain in 2016. He is one of our most prolific authors and FantastiCon 2017 saw the exclusive launch of the second book in his Generation Mars series, Generation Mars: War Over Dust, which is available at the Fantastic Books Store.

The wonderful Saraswati will be joining us again with her unique brand of beautiful, soulfull sounds. A real star on the rise, she has performed at some of the world's largest festivals and we're really proud to have her come along again in 2018, what will be her third FantastiCon!

Euan Gloyn is a Dr Who superfan and as such has created one of the most detailed and authentic copies of the T.A.R.D.I.S we have ever seen.He has kindly agreed to bring his creation to the convention and you will be able to see it in pride of place. He's also agreed to bring along his latest creation, the Bat signal.Thanks Euan, you're Fantastic!
Dalek Jast will be at the convention and will be offering a pilot experience to a select few lucky convention attendees.His creator, Robert Phillips, will also be there to lend a hand and, if necessary, administer some exterminations!
Dalek Jast is part of the amazing 'Sons of Skaro' Dalek builder group who do sterling work raising thousands of pounds for charity wherever they go. As many of them who are free will be at FantastiCon 2018.
Fireteam Ascension are a professional cosplay troop who travel the UK in their incredible, hand made Halo power suits. They are famed for their impromptu dance shows and general tomfoolery and we're super excited to see how they fair in the NERF war too!Their Founder, Dan Gonzales, is a long time friend of FantastiCon and although he may not be able to make it himself, he's very much looking forward to showing off the new team's skills!

International award winning crime writer Penny Grubb launched her latest novel 'Syrup Trap City' at the 2017 event and will be joining us again, signing copies from her permanent post behind the Fantastic Books Store!
Sue Knight, author of 'Till They Dropped' and 'Waiting for Gordo', will be at the 2018 event.
Sue is a shy but prolific author and this will be possibly the only chance to meet her in person in 2018.
Copies of both of Sue's works will be available at the Fantastic Books Store!
Special Effect is a very special charity and through it we have had the privilege of meeting one of the world's nicest and most sincere people. Baz Floyd has worked tirelessly for the charity for years and has done an eye watering amount of fundraising in a variety of cruel and interesting ways (alongside his long suffering partner in crime Ali) which we're sure he'll be happy to tell you all about at the event.
He'll be there representing Special Effect and as such will have some really interesting bits of tech for you to try out to show just how amazing the work this epic gamers' charity does really is.
